Wow. I haven’t blogged since December? My goodness school keeps me busy. And I have so much information to teach y’all. Well I am studying for my Advanced Nutrition Principles test tonight and had just made myself a salad for dinner. And that is the reason I am blogging tonight. As I eat my salad, with every bite I just feel so good about eating it. And knowing that it is a complete balanced meal in just a little salad. I have my protein (turkey pieces), my B12 (eggs), my digestive aid (fresh lemon juice), my vegetable (broccoli), and my leafy greens (herb salad mix with chard and arugula).
I also sprinkled some sunflower seeds. Yum. I drizzled some flax seed oil (which only adds more nutrients) and the fresh lemon juice for my dressing. Do you see how easy that is to create a balanced meal? (Ha! And the plate is on top of my books and notes….proof that I am really studying!)
I just want you to think the next time you eat a meal, how is this food nourishing my body? Don’t overwork your liver with refined, processed foods. Use whole, real food. And trust me it will…complete you too.
Funny. I was just telling Trevor that I need to find something good to eat for lunch (I’m sick of sandwiches) and now I am inspired to try eating salads. True story, salads (with meat of course) will be my new lunch food. Thanks.
