Okay I give up! I’m dropping out of school. Forget studying whole foods nutrition. Sign me up for this twinkie diet! I am thrilled and so excited to see that I can eat junk food and lose weight. And then hopefully y’all will come visit me when I’m bed ridden in the hospital on kidney dialysis. Or perhaps waiting for a new liver!
Okay so I won’t get into the whole biochemistry of things and show you how too much sugar really poisons the liver. But I do want you to know that this kind of diet can’t last forever. Although I have always been one to believe, and still do, that you can have your cake and eat it too. My last blog was about eating a doughnut! I’m just making sure you’re smiling while doing it. Basically what I’m saying is, enjoy food, enjoy all kinds of food, just enjoy it in moderation. What I don’t like is processed food, food that basically can sit on a shelf for years and years and never go bad. However, once again, everything in moderation.
Basically this guy cut his calories down to 1800/day. Of course he’s going to lose weight. I always tell people that want to lose weight, just eat half of what you are eating already. That’s it. You’re first step should be to just eat half of what you are eating. Quantity over quality right now. Once you get that, then let’s talk about introducing more nutritious food into your diet. Now we get into the quality part.
What is good about this diet for this guy is now that he has started the weight loss and has trained his brain about portions, now he can just start swapping out the twinkies for nutritious stuff. Change your brain, change your body! I always say, if it doesn’t have a mother or come from the ground…don’t eat it. 🙂
I would love some thoughts about this and to hear about what you all are eating these days!
Let’s eat to nourish!
